Besides the ancient practice of "falconry", falcons were important figures in Egyptian and Norse mythology! The Norse goddess Freya was said to be a sorceress who could fly in a falcon's skin with falcon feathers growing from her arms. She was considered a goddess of fertility and of wealth, but also a goddess who went to the land of the dead (or underworld), in the guise of a falcon. She would return from the underworld with prophecies!

The part of our humanity that protects, nurtures, heals and loves is an absolute necessity for future protection and health of our earth's ecosystems! It is the creed of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers who have traveled the world to speak and lead ceremonies at environmental events for the past 15 years!
